First meeting, Granada Spain 7 June - 10 June 2023
On 7 June 2023, the first meeting of the Youth4Rural project by JOAMAR2010 was held in Granada, where the main activity was to create an ICT e-toolkit containing a methodology based on training and practical advice for youth workers, to teach young people how to become sustainable entrepreneurs by working with local products. During the meeting, the coordinator shared an interesting update on the division of labour between the partner associations for the creation of the two modules of the e-toolkit. Each association will take care of a specific unit, which will give the opportunity to create an e-toolkit with different perspectives. To add a touch of creativity and cohesion to the modules, the partners undertook an engaging collaborative exercise. Together, they found meaningful titles for each module and brainstormed different ideas to start developing the first module. The two titles chosen are 'Sustainable Entrepreneurship in Local Commerce' and 'Local Food Products and Marketing Techniques'.We would like to thank JOAMAR2010, the partners and the incredible team of Youth4Rural for their dedication and work together in Granada.
Second meeting, Serbia
The second project meeting was held in Serbia from the 9th to the 12th of October 2023. The members structured a discussion to recap the work done, present the composite E-toolkit modules and exchange ideas and reflections.
PILOT SEMINAR. CROATIA
The pilot seminar was held in Croatia, where the e-toolkit and training were tested. In addition, we visited several exemplary best practice locations. The first stop was the family farm Ivan Knežević, which includes a beekeeping museum. This farm produces honey and other bee products.
The second visit was to the family farm Tihomir Sotinac in the town of Otok. We were able to see the production facilities, how the products are packaged and learn about the effort required for the successful development of this type of production and sales. The final visit in Croatia took place at the premises of the Virovi Biological Education Centre in the town of Otok, Vukovarsko-srijemska County.
TPM in Luneburg, Germany
We participated in the Metaversing Forum in Winsen, Germany, to present the Youth4Rural project. This event was a great opportunity to raise awareness of the project, explain its objectives and show the progress made. In addition, we connected with other people and organisations interested in innovative initiatives.
